Bansi Corn flour or makki ka atta is made from makki or maize (corn). The flour is pale yellow in color and has a fine texture. Traditionally, people from the northern state of Punjab have made rotis out of corn flour (makki ki roti) and served them with a mustard greens curry. Today rotis made out of this flour are relished by people across India. Corn flour is also used to thicken curries.
