MTR Rasam Powder: Rasam is a famous South Indian soup.It is prepared with tamarind juice or tamato, pepper and other spices. Lentils are also added usually along with some vegetables.
Use
MTR spice mix when making rasam. Add rasam powder to cooked
toor dal (lentils) and tamarind water and cook. Season with mustard seeds. Spicy, flavorful rasam is ready. Complete recipe is given on pack. Add coriander leaves and tomatoes to taste. Serve as a soup or with rice. Instructions are given on the pack, a snapshot of which is provided below.

Cook 75g of Toor dal in 1 ltr of water, with 1 tsp refined veg oil and a pinch of turmeric. Churn the cooked dal until soft and keep aside. |

Boil 3-4 tbsp MTR Rasam powder with tamarind juice, jaggery and salt to taste. Add roughly chopped tomatoes for better flavour. |

Add the cooked dal and water if necessary. Boil for about 10 min. |

Top with 1 tsp of mustard seeds and a pinch of asafoetida fried in ghee (Pure Indian Butter). | |
