Fava Bean and Lentil Dip
This simple Middle Eastern dip combines fava beans?a staple Turkish legume that's mild in taste with a rich, almost meaty texture?with red lentils, garlic, olive oil, and cumin. A dusting of paprika adds a bright red hue and smokiness. Serve with hot pita bread.

1 tablespoon(s) Garlic, minced
1/2 cup(s) Red lentils, picked over, rinsed, drained
1 cup(s) Pre-cooked fava beans, drained and rinsed
1 Tablespoon(s) Parsley, fresh, chopped


Instructions:
1. Simmer lentils in water to cover for about 15 minutes, or until tender. Drain.
2. Mash favas and lentils together in a bowl. Add garlic, lemon juice, cumin, salt, and 2 tablespoons oil to make a cohesive mixture
3. Scoop the mixture into a shallow dish and pour remaining oil over it; garnish with paprika and parsley.
4. Serve with warm pita bread.
